What makes Duck Math different

Games where you have to do the maths
In Math Duck you cannot guess your way through: the right number opens the door. Every level hides a missing number, and the difficulty rises from sums within 12 to times tables and division. Play Math Duck or read the level tips.

Fast, friendly practice that fits a busy day
Rounds last about a minute. Swim to the right answer in Duck Math Dash, race a rival in Times Tables Duck Race or beat your best in Quick Sum Sprint. Ten minutes a day is enough.

Printables and guides for home and school
Print the multiplication chart, build a worksheet with answer key or read the times tables guide. Teachers can use games as starters and centres: see math games in the classroom.
How Math Duck works
Read the equation
One number is hidden behind a question mark, like 7 + ? = 15.
Work out the answer
Use the inverse operation: 15 โ 7 = 8. No guessing, wrong tiles send you back.
Jump to the number
Steer the duck to the floating tile with the right answer and watch it light up.
Get the key, open the door
Grab the key, avoid the spikes and beat the timer to reach the next level.

What is duck math?
Duck math games put a duck in charge of the numbers. In the best known style, each level hides a small equation with a missing number, and you steer the duck to the answer, grab a key and open the door. People search for it as math duck, duck math or math duck game. Duck Math is built around that idea, with original games, so you will not find copies of other sites' titles here.
Why games help with math practice
Math facts stick through many short, spaced attempts, and games make those attempts feel like play. Every game here gives instant feedback, shows the correct answer after a mistake and raises the difficulty only as you succeed. Read more in our times tables guide, the mental math tricks and the number sense guide.
For parents and teachers
Each game page names the skill it practises and the grades it suits, with tips for talking about the math. Teachers can use games as five-minute starters or practice centres, see math games in the classroom. Printable help includes the multiplication chart and the worksheet generator.

How Duck Math helps children learn
Our games are built around practices that teachers and learning researchers commonly recommend for building math fluency:
- Retrieval practice: every question asks the child to recall or work out the answer, rather than just reading it.
- Immediate feedback: a wrong answer shows the correct equation straight away, so mistakes become learning moments.
- Short, spaced sessions: rounds last about a minute, and daily missions encourage a little practice every day instead of one long session.
- Gradual difficulty: games start easy and grow harder as the child succeeds, to keep the challenge in the zone between boring and frustrating.
- Flexible number sense: games such as Bubble Pop Math show that one number can be written many ways, the root of algebra.
Games are one part of learning. They work best alongside classroom teaching, written working and talking about math at home. See our guide on math games versus worksheets.

What is the difference between Duck Math and Math Duck?

Which grades are the games for?
Roughly grades 1 to 7 (ages 6 to 13). Math Duck and Quick Sum Sprint cover grades 1 to 6, Times Tables Duck Race and Number Pond grades 2 to 5, Fraction Feast grades 3 to 6, and Bubble Pop Math grades 3 to 7.
Is it free and safe for kids?

Does Math Duck work on phones and Chromebooks?
Yes. On phones and tablets on-screen buttons appear under the game and a full-screen button gives a bigger view. On Chromebooks it runs in the normal browser with the keyboard.
Can I turn the music off?
Yes. Use the speaker button in the top bar or press M. Your choice is remembered on that device.
How do daily missions work?
Each day you get three missions, such as solving 15 sums or reaching level 4 in Math Duck. Finishing them earns XP, builds a streak and raises your rank from Duckling to Grand Duck. Everything is saved in your browser.
