Duck Math Dash: Free Duck Math Runner Game

Swim your duck into the lane with the right answer. Gates speed up as you go, and you have three lives. Free, no sign-up.

How to play Duck Math Dash

  1. An equation appears in the top-left box and a gate of three answer pads floats toward your duck.
  2. Move up or down to the lane that holds the correct answer before the gate reaches you.
  3. A right answer scores a gate and speeds things up a little. A wrong one costs a heart and shows the correct equation.
  4. Lose all three hearts and the run ends. Your best number of gates is saved in this browser.

Controls

Up and Down arrows or W and S to change lane. On phones, tap a lane or use the Up and Down buttons.

Math skills and grades

Skills: Fast addition, subtraction and multiplication facts, and reading an equation under time pressure.

Best for: Grades 2 to 6 (ages 7 to 12).

Tips for parents and teachers

  • The first five gates use easy sums within 20. After that, times tables and bigger sums appear, so the game grows with the child.
  • Encourage solving the equation before the gate arrives rather than guessing a lane.
  • It is a good warm-up game for five minutes before homework.
