If an old math game now shows a blank box or a plugin warning, it was probably built in Flash. Here is what changed and what to do instead.

Part of our complete guide.

The end of Flash

Adobe ended support for Flash Player at the end of 2020, and the major browsers removed it soon after. Games that needed Flash can no longer run in a normal browser unless they have been rebuilt.

Why some sites still show old games

Some game pages keep their old listing and note that a fix is in progress, because converting a game to HTML5 takes real work and sometimes needs the original files.

HTML5 games work everywhere

HTML5 games run in the browser with no plugin on phones, tablets, Chromebooks and computers. Duck Math's own games are all built this way.
