Choosing the Best Math Games for Kids at Home
By the Duck Math team ·

There is no single best math game, because the best one is the one that matches your child's skill and that they will actually play. Use this checklist.
Part of our complete guide.
A 6-point checklist
- Real math: the child does the arithmetic to progress.
- The right level: a start that feels easy and a rising challenge.
- Short rounds: about a minute per round with a clear end.
- Feedback: the correct answer shown after a mistake.
- Safe design: no chat, no sign-up, labelled ads.
- Fun that repeats: music, streaks and rewards that do not push spending.
Match the game to the skill
If your child is learning times tables, pick a times-table game. If they are shaky on fractions, pick a fractions game. Our games page lists the skill and grades for each one.
Make it a habit
Pick a regular time, aim for ten minutes, and use daily missions or a streak for a gentle goal. Stop while it is still fun.
Questions
How much screen time is too much for math games?
Follow your own family or school guidance. Ten minutes a day is plenty for practice, and a short round is easy to stop.
